Meetup in Brugge!

Please introduce yourself My name is Gaurav Thapa and I am currently employed as a Geographer/Project Manager at Kathmandu Living Labs in Nepal. I currently live in Pokhara, Nepal but also spend a considerable amount of time in my hometown of Kathmandu, Nepal. Travelling and seeing new places continues to be one of my great passions and mapping has allowed me to travel to places where I will never be able to go physically.

Open Bike Data & Mapping with OpenStreetMap

Open bike data and maps are part of the solution towards more bike-friendly cities. The good thing is… you as a citizen can help improve these data and maps! On July 21st, Open Knowledge Belgium is organizing in partnership with the Brussels-Capital Region and OpenStreetMap Belgium, a full-day event of talks and workshops on how to create, edit and share open bike data and maps with OpenStreetMap.

Mapper of the Month: Jamie Nadeau (Canada)

Who are you? I’m Jamie Nadeau. In OSM some people might know me more as LogicalViolinist and on the wiki as james2432. I grew up a bit here and there as we moved a lot when I was younger, some notable places being Kingston, North Bay, Ottawa and Gatineau. My back ground is computer science and am currently working in my field in the Ottawa Valley.

Please introduce yourself I am Julien Minet. I come from the Luxembourg province in Belgium, from the border between the Ardens and the Gaume. I have a degree as Bio-engineer and worked for 8 years as a researcher at UCL and now ULg - Arlon. At the moment I work in web development, GIS and digital maps.
